1. Your Files & Tool Inputs
Every ToolsFlash tool — PDF merging and splitting, image compression and conversion, calculators, text utilities, developer tools — runs entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript on your own device.
This means the documents you merge, the photos you compress, the loan amounts you type and the JSON you format are never transmitted to our servers or any third party. There is no upload button behind the scenes, no processing queue, no temporary cloud storage. When you close the tab, your data is gone from everywhere except your own device.
This is not a promise we hope to keep — it is an architectural fact of how the platform is built. Our servers only ever send you the tool pages; they never receive your content back.
2. The Little We Do Collect
Like virtually every website on the internet, a small amount of technical information is involved in serving pages:
- Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and referring URL, used only for security monitoring and aggregate traffic statistics.
- Local storage on your device — a single preference (your light/dark theme choice) is saved in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device and you can clear it anytime in your browser settings.
We do not collect names, email addresses, accounts, payment details or contact lists — the platform has no signup and no user database.
3. Cookies & Advertising
ToolsFlash is free because it is supported by unobtrusive advertising. Advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads that are relevant to you, including based on prior visits to this or other websites.
- Third-party vendors' use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info.
- Advertising never has access to the files or content you process with our tools — that content exists only in your browser.
4. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which tools people find useful (for example, "the EMI calculator was visited X times this week"). This data is anonymized, contains no tool inputs or file content, and is never linked to an identifiable person.
5. Children's Privacy
ToolsFlash does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — or from anyone else, for that matter. Our tools require no account and no personal information to use, which makes them inherently safe in this regard.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the European Union or the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete or port personal data a company holds about you.
Because ToolsFlash collects almost nothing and stores no user accounts, there is typically nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold any personal data about you, contact us and we will respond promptly: Contact page.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and the strongest security measure we offer is structural: data that is never collected can never be breached. Your files cannot leak from our servers because they never touch our servers.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how the platform works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be noted clearly. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about this policy or anything privacy-related? We're happy to explain how any tool works under the hood. Reach us via the Contact page or at krishsah718@gmail.com.
