1. Your Files & Tool Inputs
Every ToolsFlash tool — PDF merging and splitting, image compression and conversion, calculators, text utilities, developer tools — runs entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript on your own device.
The documents you merge, photos you compress and calculator inputs are handled by browser-side tool code, without a ToolsFlash file-processing server. Downloaded files and anything you copy remain under your control. Avoid putting private information into page URLs or following untrusted links; other websites have their own data practices.
Loading the site still makes network requests for pages, fonts and libraries. The Markdown preview blocks remote images by default; if you explicitly enable them, image hosts receive requests and may receive identifiers embedded in the image URL. Third-party scripts are not inherently isolated from page content, so local processing should not be read as a guarantee against every possible browser or third-party risk.
2. The Little We Do Collect
Like virtually every website on the internet, a small amount of technical information is involved in serving pages:
- Website delivery — our host and resource providers may process IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs and technical logs to deliver and protect their services. Their retention practices are governed by their policies.
- Local preferences — your theme choice (tf-theme) is stored in localStorage. It contains no tool inputs. Google Analytics may separately store cookies. You can manage local storage and cookies using your browser settings.
There is no signup or application user database. If you contact us by email or social media, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your address and message. Do not send sensitive files unless necessary. Contact us to discuss deletion of correspondence.
3. Cookies & Advertising
The tools are currently free to use. Advertising is a planned funding model; this release does not install an advertising network. Any future advertising integration will require a separate review of disclosures and applicable consent requirements.
- Third-party vendors' use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info.
- Our GA4 configuration disables Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals. This is not an advertising consent-management system.
4. Analytics
We load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) automatically on production pages, including the 404 page. This version does not display an analytics consent banner. GA4 can use cookies and pseudonymous identifiers to measure pages, device/browser information and approximate location. Reports may be aggregated, but collection is not necessarily anonymous.
- Our page-view event uses the canonical page URL without input values, query strings or fragments, and only the referring site's origin. We do not intentionally send tool inputs, filenames or file contents as analytics event data.
- Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- You can control cookies and tracking through browser settings, tracking protection or Google's opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics does not prevent the tools from working. Previously collected data is not erased simply by blocking future requests; contact us about relevant rights requests.
5. Children's Privacy
ToolsFlash is a general-audience service, not a service directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it. Health estimates have additional age and applicability limitations stated on their tool pages.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the European Union or the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete or port personal data a company holds about you.
These rights can apply to correspondence and analytics information even when there is no user account. Contact us with your request via the Contact page. We may need information to verify and locate relevant records. Blocking future analytics requests does not affect tool access.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and the strongest security measure we offer is structural: data that is never collected can never be breached. Your files cannot leak from our servers because they never touch our servers.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how the platform works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be noted clearly. This policy describes the implementation; it does not treat continued browsing as express consent or waive any rights you may have under applicable law.
